The Need For Core Exercises

 

Core workouts are very important since they exercise the core of the body which also benefits the other parts of the body. The core muscles include the muscles that exist around the pelvis and trunk. Good core stability is achieved when the muscles in your abdomen, hips, lower back and pelvis are all working efficiently together. This will make it very easy to effectively perform certain duties such as playing golf or tennis. You are going to also have a better posture as well as reducing your risks of injuring your muscles or lower back pains. Luckily, there are a variety of core exercises that you can perform in the comfort and convenience of your own home to strengthen your core area.

 

There are standard core exercises that are simple and thus can be performed by any individual and they include crunches, sit ups, push-ups and squats which target the abdominal part of the body. If you are in search of intense exercises core workouts then you could possibly consider the bridge. To perform this particular exercise, you require lying flat on your back while your knees are bent. It is essential that you keep your back relaxed such that there is no arching in your spine. Once you are in this position, tighten the abdominal muscles and slowly lift the hips off the ground such that they are aligned with both your shoulders and your knees. Hold this position for three or five seconds depending on your level of fitness and the repeat the entire process again.
